The weather was pretty clear this morning, but the temperature was barely above zero. The May Dip is an annual tradition, celebrating Beltane, and the halfway point between the equinoxes. St Andrews tradition also holds that you accidentally jeopardise your degree by stepping on the PH cobbles, you can redeem yourself by taking a dip in the North Sea at dawn on May 1st. Some literally just dip their toes in. Others run full tilt into the sea wearing nothing but a brave face... Which would you do?
